Well, my wife and I just celebrated our 5th year wedding anniversay.  We spent the day in Niagara Falls.  The first 4 pics are from Susie.  She’s learning to shoot now!  Stay tuned for more from her in the future.  20090731_wedding-anniversary_0008-web20090731_wedding-anniversary_0013-web20090731_wedding-anniversary_0023-web20090731_wedding-anniversary_0025-web

Carly and Gilles Are Married!

A couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure to shoot Carly and Gilles wedding in Windsor with John Lyons of John Lyons Weddings.  We truly had a great time shooting one of the best weddings of the year.

Anthony’s First Communion – Part 2

Anthony’s First Communion

My nephew Anthony had his first communion this part Sunday May 17th.  Congrats!

Maloreigh – the first daughter

Finally got to shoot my oldest daughter.  Did about 30 images in about 2 minutes.

One of these things is not like the other…

Can you guess which one is not me?

Vincent’s 2 – BarberShop & Hairstyles

Picture looks best when you click on it.  I’m not sure why my site is compressing the image.

I found this barbershop a few years ago when I lived in Oakville.  Hands down the best place around.  I thought I’d throw a shout out to these guys for always doing a great job.

Joe, you and your team are awesome, keep up the great work.

Susie – my wife

It’s rare that I am able to capture my own wife.  Usually there are children hanging off one of us.

gotta stay cool, my momma never raised no fool

That’s right another Andy Curran quote.  Really it’s part two.

Engagement & Wedding Rings

Found this picture in one of my many wedding books.

Desiree in the clouds

Desiree in the clouds

Took this shot indoors, but the background was not flattering, so I thought I’d play with the "render clouds" in Photoshop.

Wedding Rings in Cables

Wedding Rings in Cables

The fan on my video card is crapping out, so I have to leave the side of my computer off and "tap" the fan once in a while to keep it quiet. So I thought, let’s take the rings our of the "norm" and put integrate them into some technology.

On the rocks

On the rocks

Got home in time to enjoy some day light. The creek was almost completely frozen over except for a few spots where some fast water was.

Each time I had to move the ring around, I’d move my camera back to the shore, then put it back on the ice and recompose the shot. Got myself a little wet kneeling down on the ice, but didn’t (knock on wood) get anything soaked.

I think I might need to get a neutral density filter. I never thought I’d need one, but I shot at 100 ISO, and had the aperture at f/40.0, just to try and get a slow shutter speed.

Another idea for a ring shot tonight. Bounced my flash off a gold piece of bristle board to enhance the color.

Wine Glasses 2

Wine Glasses 2

Tried a few angles on this shot. I liked the way the glasses at the back almost look like they’re tipping towards the camera.

Used a Polarizing Filter on my 50mm 1.8 tonight. It reduced the glare in each glass allowing you to see through each one better. I would have liked to try this with the other shot from a few nights ago now!!

Rambo Creek

Got sick and tired of shooting inside, so I took a little walk while the kids were having their nap. Found this awesome looking ice pattern near a dip in the creek.
