June 1st 2010 – my 365 – New Rush
Ahhh finally some new Rush. I think the songs sound cool. Can’t wait for the summer tour and new album to follow.
May 31st 2010 – my 365 – Sold!
We finally sold our house. Only 30 days to go until we close on our new place.
May 28th 2010 – my 365 – itsy bitsy spider
I found this little guy just resting upside-down next to my stairs in the basement. He was a great model. Didn’t more or complain at all. I’ve never shot spiders before, but thought I’d give it a try. I don’t have a macro lens, so I had to get in as close as my lens would let me, then cropped in the rest.
May 27th 2010 – my 365 – Strawberry on seemless
I’ve been playing with seemless paper lately. It’s pretty cool. One day I’ll get a big roll.
I was also playing with the direction of light and my flash.

Kind of a throwaway shot tonight. But I thought it ended up looking neat. Don’t mind the dust though.

I don’t know how this lens came into my possession. So if there are any Pentax guys/gals out there that want to try this puppy out, shoot me an email.
May 24th 2010 – my 365 – Playing with trains
I had a really busy day and a great holiday. So great that I didn’t even pick up my camera. So at night again after cleaning up the toys, I was playing with my sons Thomas the train set and snapped this quick one with my iPhone. Now, I never take only 1 shot, so really this was about 8 or 9 into the session.
May 23rd 2010 – my 365 – Smoked Brisket
This is my second time making brisket. The last time it was a 12lb beast. It took over 14 hours to smoke. This time, I had two 2lb briskets. it only took about 2 1/2 hours to smoke em. They were(and still are) awesome. You could really taste the smoke flavour throughout. 
May 22nd 2010 – my 365 – playing with light
Today I wanted to play with my flash and ambient light. Well, I think I achieved what I set out to do. I wanted the backyard to be properly lit and my indoor subject to be properly lit as well. I took a reading of the backyard and it said 1/5th at f/5.6. So I dialed in some flash, and whammo. A few(ok, into the teens) settings later, I achieved the look I wanted. The only problem was that the backyard was now too bright(see inset picture), so I lowered the shutter speed to 1/13th and got a nicer colour in the backyard but maintained the brightness inside. Now to put this to good use.
May 21st 2010 – my 365 – Desiree’s booboo
Desiree was running and tripped tonight. She landed pretty hard and cut her upper lip. Of course, no amount of hugs and kisses can make her feel better…but Ice Cream! That’ll make it better mommy. Ice cream and Tortues Ninja.
May 20th 2010 – my 365 – Bubbly delicious
Straight out of the camera tonight. No fancy editing, no dodging and burning. Not even any sharpening.
May 18th 2010 – my 365 – Conditions!!!!
I feel like singing the song “traditions” from Fiddler on the Roof. But saying ‘Conditions’. Great news tonight. Life always has a way of going a different way then what you think.

St. Joseph’s International Outreach
Haiti Program
For over 10 years, my mom has been working with the sisters of St-Joseph’s International Outreach Program. She’s been donation her time to re-building the hospital in Port-o-Prince, Haiti. When the earthquakes struck this January, the hospital and all their hard work crumbled along with the rest of the city. Fortunately for the Haitian people another hospital had been built to withstand this type of damage and is still operational. Her efforts have now gone toward setting up this new facility. Tomorrow May 18th she’ll travel back to Port-o-Prince with the team for 10 days to do what they can. One day, I hope to go to Haiti myself not only to document their efforts, but to do my part in setting up their healthcare system

May 16th 2010 – my 365 – Desiree Climbing
Took the kids to the park to run them out for a bit. Always a good time. Desiree decided to show off her awesome climbing skills! Not bad for a 4 year old.
May 15th 2010 – my 365 – Marshall amps
Ahhhh, for my home use, I love the sound of a Mesa Boogie head through a Marshall Cabinet. If I ever got to play on a big stage, I’d go for the boogie cabinets as well, but for home it just tightens ups the bottom end.
May 14th 2010 – my 365 – Hayden running
Tonight after our pizza dinner we decided to run the kids out. We took them on a huge walk. From what I can calculate on Google Maps, they walked about 1.5km. That’s a lot for a 2 & 4 year old. But sure enough, once they see the park, they have energy again.

Almost too tired to shoot something tonight. So as I was cleaning up the toys for the evening again, I thought this angle on the toys looked cool.
May 11th 2010 – my 365 – Please go to sleep
I just want my son to sleep. It’s been over 2 years. He doesn’t go down easy, or stay down at all. And when he wakes up in the middle of the night, it’s not fun.
May 10th 2010 – my 365 – Locke Street
I went for coffee with my new Photog friend Andrea from AC Images. We’re gonna be shooting together in June, so we hung out at Starbucks in the cold.
Before getting together, I knew I had to get my shot for my 365, so I found this near where I parked. I thought it was cool.
May 9th 2010 – my 365 – Happy Birthday and Mothers Day mom
Today is my most awesome mom’s birthday and mothers day. Yup, almost every year her birthday falls on Mothers day. Lucky me eh!
Well, my mom rocks. So I wanted to do another Mothers day photo session for her. It was pretty cold outside, but we were both troopers and braved the nice Canadian climate. We found some nice shade with great little sun spots coming through. I think they made great hair lights.
May 8th 2010 – my 365 – Arielle’s First Communion
Arielle celebrated her first communion yesterday. We were allowed photos during the processional and recessional only. here’s the closest I could get, even with a 70-200, and I had to crop in.
